Probably the most memorable worst fine dining experience in Toronto. We read the reviews and were excited to try this place but the best thing on their menu that we got was the water.

Great food, even greater service. Polite, professional and friendly hostesses and wait staff. Exhaustive wine collection. While menu is limited, it's best to do a few things really well. Dessert was quite tasty.

The food was just amazing! Probably here I had the tastiest steak in my life. The view from the 54th floor is amazing. The staff so knowledgeable and pleasant. Since I visited Canoe it is my favourite restaurant in Toronto.

Heritage pork- edible. But I’m not sure if I can say more...

Contrary to some of the more negative reviews here, our courses arrived very quickly (although the restaurant was full) and were certainly not too small.

Service and view is absolutely superb.

We thought that perhaps the steak dish which would cost you 60$ would be good. Wrong again. The meat was relatively tender but NO FLAVOR. Don’t bother looking for salt and pepper, won’t help, nor the waiters asked if we need any.

Kale salad- acceptable but for the price they charge one would expect something amazing.

Comparing it to other fine dining restaurants we were left speechless at the poor quality of food, especially when one considers the high price tag this place charges.

We had an amazing first experience together from start to finish. Service was impeccable and friendly. We brought our own bottle of wine and did the tasting menu. Each dish was unique and presentation artistic to go along with our amazing window seat. The only dish that wasn't as balanced as the others was the dessert which was a unique tarragon sorbet. In hindsight we should have mixed this and it would have been perfect also.

ON burrata- again, does anyone taste the food??? Lavash sounds good on paper but this was pretentious BS. It’s a thin crust tasteless bread, with salt at times overpowering anything else. The cheese was tasteless and god knows how it’s paired with anything else on that plate. Pickle, seaweed, nuts, cottage cheese... wow.

Also amazing view. Most people come here for the view, but were they a normal ground level it would be worth coming to.

We had an excellent evening at the Canoe bar (first) and restaurant (second). Great drinks, very good food, impeccable service and of course a breathtaking view. We thought the food a really excellent mixture of finesse and down-to-earth Canadian eating. Something that came out very well in each dish and the combined tastes. We recommend the mushroom soup (with a strong taste of truffles) and the heritage pork, rounded of with a Niagra peninsula Riesling.

At a good restaurant, especially with a limited menu, every dish must be unique. The ‘artisan’ bread, only 1 kind, was same as a cheap bought grocery store. Served cold with a chickpea spread that one wonders whether anyone in the kitchen actually tasted it.

Side mushroom- that was a popular side dish. Absolutely terrible. Our mushrooms were either half burned and drenched in oil. No mushroom flavour at all.

Go there for drinks and maybe desert (we didn’t try deserts as we were disappointed enough by then)- great view and atmosphere but avoid the food until there are some serious changes.
