An amazing place for a walk or ride. About 5km from the entrance (car park) to the lighthouse but great views along the way. Really interesting wildlife (birds primarily) to see. Neat place to take the kids, but recommend bikes or scooters or you are unlikely to get that deep into the park...

A great escape from busy city life. Who needs Muskoka? Seriously though, it's a great escape from the hustle and bustle.

I've done a couple of runs in the park during the summer. Coming here during the winter was nice but when you're walking it's a bit daunting - there are very long stretches. Views of the city were wonderful along with the various birds.

This park has potential that hasn’t quite been realized. The location is great, with easy access in the East end and great views of the city. It’s a bit “rough and ready” with its industrial roots showing with derelict buildings at various spots and old landfill metal bits poking up from the ground periodically. While perhaps deliberate, it feels more like “we didn’t have enough money to really make it in to a park”.

Love this park. Beautiful and would never expect it to be right at the foot of the city. Views looking back to the city are also stunning, and a different perspective from what one is typically used to seeing. The only downside to this park is the fact that it is a 'trail' park, with little other amenities like even an open field for someone to play frisbee or kick a ball around.

One highlight was the impromptu “make your own inukshuk” area where people spontaneously started ripping rocks out of the landfill pile building their own statues with the CN Tower and Toronto waterfront in the background.
