What a disgrace. This place is of course only a reflection of Chinese governance. It's a shame that it should display itself as such to a country that has been so hospitable to its citizens.

They only open from 9am to 12am ??? I was still in the line with some other people. They told us to come back after their lunch break like 30 mins later, and then when we are back. The place is closed, they won’t let us in anymore lol ... what a joke

Terrible service, they called me back on the day after I submitted required documents for passport renewal and said I had to pay $15 processing fee which I don't understand why they didn't have me pay at the spot while I was there. Now I need to go back again during those precious 3-hour office hours. No one ever picks up phone calls. Terrible website. If you don't have to go there, don't go. Do they think people who go there live downtown or what? I had to travel hours back and forth. Strong request for longer office hours and please hire someone to pick up phone calls, and train your staff about professionalism and customer service! Sorry but I really have nothing good to say about them!

I am sharing my experience after visiting both embassies 6 times. I am lucky that I live in Toronto and unlike others who come from other cities and provinces, I was able to get some answers. I was given wrong information by 3 different rep's. The website for embassy is outdated and there is no help provided over the phone. I felt sick the second day visiting the embassy because it was crowded and there is no air at St.George office. How shameful is it that we are treated like second class citizens. Your staff members are very unhelpful and you confuse your clients. If you take a few days to train your staff and members of the embassy I can guarantee that there will be a lot less visits and less issues for your staff/clients. How about providing detailed help over the phone and having a separate area for questions/answers at the St.George location?I have to go back in on Monday....all of this confusion could have been avoided had the security guy not given me the wrong information, the university avenue location rep's had knowledge of there own duties/visas and if people had up to do self-help/self-check out options through your website.

I received what seemed like an automated message. I asked my mom to listen to it. She said it was an important document to be picked up at the Consulate. There was no contact information. I am definitely 100% certain it can't be for me as I have never been to China. Don't know if it is a scam. I traced the number on my phone through Google and got the Consulate. I don't even know how they got my phone number.
