  Was involved in a car accident downtown Toronto on December 27th in -25 weather. Called a few places and all were closed because of holiday hours. I left a voicemail at the downtown location of Advantage Car and Truck rentals and within 15 mins to my surprise I received a call back from Daniel. He arranged to have a 4x4 (I live 2 hours north of the city and with 2 feet of snow you need either 4 wheel or all wheel drive) delivered to my sister's house where I was staying in the Beaches. Upon the recent completion of repairs to my car in Newmarket, Daniel again arranged to have the rental picked up from the collision repair center for me.

  If you really want to save money and not want to end up paying several hundred dollars more, DO NOT rent from this company. Horrible experience! Relied on them for my moving. I even went there to give my credit card to make sure I have a cargo van reservation, 4 days in advance. They cancelled my reservation when I arrived at the location on a Friday. I couldn't find any other van/truck because it was so late. I ended up paying my movers without actually moving, and had to pay extra for the days I stayed at my place. They didn't even care to call/message/email me that there is no van for you. Absolutely no compensations! Nothing! If they called earlier, I might have been able to get a van or something from other companies. Go with Herz, Budget, Discount, U-haul, enterprise, but never with this freaking "Advantage"! They are the exact opposite ("Disadvantage"). If you like to pay $10-20 less at the time of booking but get your vehicle with 50% chance instead of paying the regular amount and get it with 100% chance, go with Advantage. Horrible horrible experience! Will never ever book anything with them. They will never respect you as a customer. All they see you is in the form of $$$/day * number of days you want to rent their vehicles.

  Advantage has the best rental rates in all of Toronto. I almost always come here to rent. The service is good and staff is very kind. I recall only one time, i received my car late.

  Booked a week in advance. On the day, their downtown location was short of cars unfortunately. The staff resolved the problem in two hours. On the whole very satisfactory. Friendly staff and convenient check in/out process. Will rent again!

  Usually the best price but when we picked up a Full size vehicle it was a Kia Soul. Vehicle does not have great suspension. Unfortunately the car had not been cleaned and windshield full of bug guts. When we called about this right away as we did not notice on first glance, staff said they would take $10.00 off price of vehicle rental. Very friendly staff. Very good price so all in all a good experience.
