Reality: I approached the lady and asked her for a little bit of oil as the pedal of my temporary bike was creaking (to get around Toronto, purchased for 40 bucks). She said no and immediately started her sales pitch saying "the problem is much bigger, the whole parts would need to be replaced". Suuure, yeah. Pretty pathetic. Like I have a warp drive or jet engine installed there. Instead of giving me a bit of oil to turn me into an impressed customer, she suggested to pay her 70+ bucks to repair my 40 buck bike plus 10 bucks /hour to access her workshop. Yay!

One of the nicer bike shops in the city. Staff was very helpful and understanding and was able to explain the issues with my bike clearly. Repairs were cheap and quick.

I once went here to replace a chain on my bike and after paying 80$(a price that was far to high, but I needed to get to work the next day) the staff member in the shop yelled at me for asking for use of a tool, after not helping with the simple fix.

If you ever wondered where they try to rehabilitate people with anger management issues look no further.

Theory: This place tries to sell itself as a 'community friendly' workshop.

If you are a bike lover or enthusiast this place is for you. You can rent a bike for an hour or two, and hit the Don Valley trails right away. Sweet!

Result: Yet another pathetic example of bullshit hipster marketing without any substance behind it. Fake smiles and 'how are you' without actually caring. When it came to helping me out all she could muster was a pathetic excuse and a sales pitch. Thanks for such cool community service!
