I am absolutely obsessed with this place. It's a free gallery with a great location right by the harbourfront and exhibits that change seasonally. There's always something cool or interesting to see here.

Beautiful, unique exhibitions year-round. Great place to take photos, or to just wander around and lose yourself for a few hours. It's free, but I would recommend making a donation to support the talks and events that they frequently host. There's new exhibitions to be seen once every four months or so, so it's never the same two visits in a row. I've been several times and have never encountered any rude staff as mentioned in other reviews. My only complaint would be that they close too early most days - be sure to check their hours before you plan a visit.

It's worth a visit for the experience, but not the greatest tour guide, he seemed to not memorise his stuff, and was disconnected/unpassionate to what he discussed.

They have interesting and thought-provoking exhibits, and for free. Not a huge space so you will be done in less than an hour. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Like most contemporary art, it can be hit or miss depending on your tastes.

On Saturday my daughter and I went to The Powere Plant. I had already put in my donation. We were stopped by staff and told we could not bring out bags in . My daughter had a large purse and I had a shopping bag. They wanted my daughter purse and my purchases. We asked if they were being looked up and if we were going to get a key to the locker. Nope they were just going to put them on the floor behind the desk. These women thought that we were going to leave our money wallet credit card ( in the purse) with complete strangers? Not only that anyone could claim them. We of course said no. My daughter asked for our donation back. We didn't get it..
